After years of doing and promoting microbiome research in soil, plants and humans, MicroHealth is very excited to see that microbiome research is now being taken to a whole new level.

After a long period of hard work, also by MicroHealth’s Harro Bouwmeester, Age Smilde, Hilde Herrema and Anna Heintz-Busschart and with support of Helen Bergman, last week the Holomicrobiome Innovation Institute was launched in the Artis Planetarium. A vast interdisciplinary institute with the mission of creating real world impact - in water, soil, plants, animals and humans - with the help of the microbiome. With the Holomicrobiome Innovation Institute focussing on microbiome research across the different domains, we're hopeful that the community we have helped build in MicroHealth will expand further. Together, we will make sure more people will see the power of the microbiome and how it can be employed for a more healthy and sustainable future!
