Within Microhealth we try to elucidate the relationship between soil and gut microbiomes, the probable transfer of microbes between these two worlds and their effects on both human and plant health. We do this in order to work towards agriculture that is healthier for both plants, the soil and people.

In our project, widely different areas of research have bundled forces to achieve that exact goal, from human microbiology and health to plant physiology, soil ecology, data science and even sociology.

The most important questions of our time don't neatly fit in to one scientific discipline, and require interdisciplinary cooperation. In our consortium this leads to amazing joint experiments and fruitful discussions on how to approach our research.
